Tapi cuba kita selidiki ekonomi Malaysia:

about 70% pasaran kita di USA, EU, Jepun, China. Export kita ke Spore juga are for re-exports to these countries.

78% msia's exports are manufactured product. half are E & E product
about 70% export msia are from MNC.

our petrol exports not much, only 5.3% of total exports.
so to palm oil.

and ... petrol pun dah jatuh harga 3/4 dari USD140 to now about USD40 and so to palm oil

MNC especially E & E cos starting to give longer vacation for their staff. before this Raya, Chrismas, new yr they operate 24 hrs (3 shiffs).Some have retrench staff - unfortunately most are local staff (these people who spend more money in our economy, unlike foreigners who send back almost RM 2 billion a month)

remember during the beginning of 1997 crisis ... we (?) said our economyfundamentally very strong... foregin reserve high, external debt low etc... but what happen then....... even though that time our palm & rubber prices high...

yesterday news.... -ve GDP growth in developed countries for 2009.... but we keep telling our economy growth 3%, 4%, 5% next yr.

Yes. our banks are very strong now. but they only keeping the money... meaning that the money in banks are unemployed....

so .... apa yang penting ialah real economy on the ground....
